In response to many requests (well three anyway) I have done this brief description of how Ido my doodles as you can see, it's the kind of thing we used to do at school, taken to another level.

Thanks Sheila, it's good to know how you construct them. I remember doodling and filling in with colours but never with such detailed patterns. How / with what do you colour them? Your work has inspired me and my daughter to have a go!
I use coloured pencils, nothing fancy, adding a bit of shading where I feel its needed. Do have a go, start simple and elaborate later. It's a very relaxing thing to do
I love your doodles, great imagination with all the creatures. I vaguely remember doing this in art class at school.

ReplyDeleteAre these called Zentangles or something like that....ive seen them on youtube and love them although never tried it myself.....lovely in colour.
