stitching again

A T Cs
Knit n Stitch

Tropical Seabed

The Knit n stitch I did some time ago but was inspired to do some stitching on a sea bed theme after I had pulled out the pebbles for the Arts and Crafts day last week. I am beginning to get the back my enthusiasm both for stitch and drawing and am planning to do at least one ATC or Post Card a week to get back in the habit, as the nun said...

arts and crafts day

I was asked to provide a display of "arty" stuff for a get together in the local library of people who were looking for new directions in their lives. The main part of the day was of course concentrated on careers and job seeking but there was room for a bit of light hearted stuff as well.
With the exception of the silk painting almost everything I made was recycled either from bits and pieces I already had or from charity shop buys which were dismantled and re-used in another form.
Some of the "pebbles" for instance are made from baby wipes used for cleaning paintbrushes etc., and the "leather" is scrumpled up tissue paper painted and attached to felt with Bondaweb

back home

Back home from a week in Belfast with Pam, Joe, Joseph and Katie seeing the New Year in properly. It was great to be able to see everyone and to get out to the sea at Bangor and walk locally in lovely surroundings and sharp sunshine and I mean sharp. However, on my return Brum was very much colder and with a slight covering of snow!

I feel ready to go after the break and am looking forward to doing something creative after the long break. Buzzing with ideas, just knowing where to start .
